Emotional Education for All Program | E.E.T.

Emotional education is an enormous challenge in the educational system. Although currently in Chile we have a regulation that incorporates social-emotional skills in the school curriculum, the gap of knowledge, didactics and teaching skills to teach this subject is still an issue to be addressed.

The psychologist and founder of the company HPI International, Isaías Sharon, points out that “this program was born as a way to contribute to educational establishments of pre-school, primary and secondary levels, to be able to evaluate and train education professionals in emotional intelligence skills. If we have better prepared teachers in this area, we can have an impact on having students who are better trained in their emotions”.

This program is open to educational establishments and they must apply at the website www.hpioficial/eet. Applications begin on October 13 and close on December 11. Those educational entities selected will receive a complete evaluation for the establishment’s education professionals and a 6-month International Certification Program in Emotional Intelligence, totally free of charge. Therefore, the entity, says Sharon, is looking for institutions that are committed to implement this as a fundamental and distinctive competence, and seeks low-resource and vulnerable establishments, with an additional score for those rural institutions that apply.
The initiative seeks to impact 1 million students in this first call.
